I agree with you in terms of Mollohan. Byrd as head of appropriations is probably going to happen. Even though the agitator talks about Byrd and pork, this is not necessarily corruption, but perhaps just bad governance a la Stevens.

The rub here, is that Dems are vowing to do something about the federal deficit, and that would seem to stem the porkfest that had been going on while the Republicans were in power. Even though Byrd will likely be bringing home a whole lot of bacon, it may pale in comparison to the last few years.

Remains to be seen.
